Orchestra

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the orchestra classes at Cherokee Trail High School. We have a rigorous program of musical study here at CT that is designed to improve the instrumental skill of our students and be a lot of fun! We offer three orchestra classes: String Orchestra is open to any student with prior strings experience, Symphony Orchestra is our intermediate level full orchestra ensemble, and Chamber Orchestra is our top-level, auditioned string group.

Incoming 9th graders who do not wish to audition should register for the String Orchestra class. Students who successfully audition into one of the other ensembles will be moved into that class by the CT registrar and counseling staff. All of the ensembles will offer students amazing opportunities to learn and perform. If you choose to take the audition, please know that I do not expect perfection. I just want to see you achieve at the highest level of accomplishment possible for you on your instrument.

The audition will consist of two parts: a three-octave scale and excerpts. If you are interested in auditioning for one of the upper level ensembles, please complete the Google registration form and schedule an appointment with me via the link below.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you for your interest and your support of the performing arts!
