School Accountability Committee (SAC)
Purpose
The Accountability Committee is a group of parents, school staff, and community members who work in collaboration with the administrative leadership team to ensure school accountability for effectiveness in the areas of curriculum, educator effectiveness, security, safety, and wellness. The committee serves as a discussion forum for school policies and planning, budget decisions, and staffing plans with a focus on the improvement of CTHS performance. The committee welcomes participation from all members of the CTHS community.
SAC Meetings
Meeting Dates:
- November 11
- February 10
- April 14
Meetings are held from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the CTHS Library.
Common topics for SAC meetings are student achievement, school Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) and Success plans, planning for staff and school activities, school budget, and increasing parent engagement.
Parents, teachers, and community members are encouraged to attend SAC meetings.
Want to Get Involved?
If you are interested in becoming an SAC member, elections occur once every year for any seats that will be open the following school year. Committee members serve a two-year term, with a 2 term limit. Watch for school announcements about the SAC election process.
Goals for the Year
- To be a sounding board for school leadership on school policies, planning, and staffing plans
- Understand how the Colorado Academic Standards affect the curriculum at CTHS
- Provide updates on school programs and initiatives
- To be a voice in shaping a positive CTHS community experience
